Off-roading in Sedona, AZ

Our next destination after Williams, AZ was Distant Drums RV Resort in Camp Verde, AZ for a week to check out the Sedona, AZ area. We’re thinking about buying a Jeep, so we rented a Jeep for four hours to go off-roading and to see if we’ll willing to give up the comforts of the Enclave. Off-roading on Soldier Pass Trail and Broken Arrow Trail was a blast and the views were amazing!

While in the area we also toured Montezuma Castle National Monument and Tuzigoot National Monument .

From Camp Verde, AZ we traveled to Scottsdale, AZ for an appointment with Nexus 21, who are the makers of our TV lift system in the RV. They were excited to see a real installation of one of their lifts. They had designed new lift brackets so we told them we would stop by when we were in the area so the new brackets could be installed. Sometime in the future our home will be featured on their site.

While in Scottsdale we traded our 2008 Enclave for a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. 🙂 The following day we got the Jeep set up for towing. While in the Scottsdale, AZ area we stayed two nights at McDowell Mountain Regional Park . The campground is on a high ridge east of town and has very nice desert and mountain views. After Scottsdale, we headed toward Oklahoma City, OK for an appointment with Lee’s RV City.
