After leaving Watson lake we spent one night in Teslin and then drove onward to Whitehorse the next day. We spent several days in Whitehorse. While touring around one afternoon we came across a bald eagle, which has an artificial nest on a pole above the Whitehorse sign. When the bald eagle was young, the tree which held the original nest fell down, so an artificial nest on a pole was built for the eagle in March, 2007. The story about the event can be found here.
While in Whitehorse we took a day trip to Skagway in the Jeep. We’d been to Skagway the year before while on a cruise, but wanted to see White Pass Summit and the scenic vistas along the Klondike Highway to Skagway.
